BIODEGRADABLE NON-TOXIC SOLVENT FOR EXTRACTION OF NATURAL LIPOSOLUBLE PRINCIPLES

The invention relates to a method of using ethyl esters of fatty acids obtained from vegetable oils. They are used as biodegradable non-toxic solvents for extraction of natural liposoluble active principles. According to the invention, the method consists in extracting liposoluble active principles by bringing in contact the solvent with a dry vegetable matter (e.g. carrots or tomatoes) in a mass ratio of 20:1, at the ambient temperature, while mechanically stirring, protected from light in order to prevent degradation of liposoluble active principles. The ethyl esters of fatty acids obtained from vegetable oils (sunflower oil, olive oil, hemp oil or camelina oil) exhibit high content of essential fatty acids ( Ω -3 and Ω -6) and do not need to be separated from the extracted natural liposoluble principles, but are suitable to be used together.
