SETTING OF A DIAMOND OR ANOTHER CIRCULAR GEM IN A CIRCULAR ZIRCON WITH A CAVITY ON A ROUND TABLE

Setting of a diamond or another circular gem in a circular zircon with a cavity on a round table, is carried out in the zircon table (1), so that the diamond (16) penetrates cavities (9,14). The cavity (9) has a shape of right circular cylinder with another conical cavity (14) formed on the bottom thereof, with its tip pointing downwards, whereby both cavities (9,14) constitute one single cavity. The cavity (9) is concentric with an imaginary circle that can be inscribed in arms centre of pavilion (8) eight main facets, when the zircon is viewed from above. Instead of the conical cavity (14), cavities of cylindrical and semi-spherical shape can be formed.
