The connection of N-levels half bridge inverter with three levels output and parallel switches consists of power supplies (U1+) to (UN+) that are serially connected; they generate positive inverter levels. (U1+) to (UN+) are connected to parallel switches (S1+) to (SN+). The serially connected power supplies (U1-) to (UN-) generate negative inverter levels and are connected to the (S1-) to (SN-). The load (Z) connected between the source node (U1 +) and (U1-) and the switch node (S1 +) and (S1-) is bridged by the serial switching of the switch (Sz +) and diodes (Dz + S1 +) and (S1-) and serial switching of the switch (Sz-) and diodes (Dz-), whose cathode is directed to the source nodes (U1 +) and (U1-). The inverter topology allows generating alternating voltage with lower content of higher harmonics and losses. The connection can be used mainly in the field of power electronics.
