The present invention is the use of a photosensitive agent, or its precursor, capable of producing reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the preparation of a medicament useful for the treatment by photodynamic therapy (PDT) of a disease related to stem cells in a subject, preferably epidermal stem cells.
