A method comprising: providing a magnetic field; providing a first plurality of cells comprising one or more magnetic nanoparticles within said cells; and levitating at least some of the first plurality of cells in the magnetic field for a time sufficient to allow at least some of the first plurality of cells to form a 3D cellular aggregation.
