Control procedure for a resonant linear compressor (100) applied to a refrigeration system, the procedure comprising the following steps: a) reading the reference operating power (Pref) of the compressor (100), wherein said step of reading of the reference operating power (Pref) of the compressor (100) comprises one of steps of: (i) reading of a user input, indicating said reference operating power (Pref); (ii) reading a temperature signal from a thermostat, which indicates the temperature of the cooling system, and calculation of the reference operating power (Pref) based on the temperature signal; b) measurement of the operating current (iMED) of the compressor motor (100) in an electronic processing device (200); c) measurement of the operating voltage of a compressor control module (100); d) calculation of the input power (PMED) of the compressor motor (100) in the electronic processing device (200) based on the operating current (iMED) and the operating voltage; e) determination of the piston displacement value (Dpis) of the compressor (100) f) comparison of the piston displacement (Dpis) with the maximum displacement value (DPmax); g) if the piston displacement value (Dpis) is greater than the maximum displacement value (DPmax), then decrease the compressor operating voltage (UC) using a power electronic device (300); h) If the value of the piston displacement (Dpis) is less than the maximum displacement value (DPmax), carry out the sequence of steps of: i) compare the input power (PMED) with the reference operating power (Pref); j) if the reference operating power (Pref) is greater than the input power (PMED), then increase the operating voltage of the compressor (UC) using the power electronic device (300); k) If the reference operating power (Pref) is less than the input power (PMED), then decrease the operating voltage of the compressor (UC) using an electronic power device (300).
