A bacteriological investigation method for identifying a bacterial load andselectingthe most effective antibiotic for therapeutic treatment, comprising, measuringa lightscattering reading of a suspension formed from a liquid culture medium oreugonicmedium in which a biological sample is inoculated, determining a turbidityaccording to the McFarland standard based on the light scattering reading,whereinthe turbidity is repeatedly determined directly from a suspension of thesample thatis analyzed during an exponential growth phase of a bacteria in the sampleuntil adesired McFarland standard threshold is reached.
