Automatic straightening device and method for a scraper conveyor on a fully-mechanizedcoal mining face based on tensile and compressive force sensors are provided.The deviceincludes a flexible element ropc, the sensors, and a signal processing deviceand is provided witha fully-mechanized coal mining working face including a plurality of middletroughs. Eachmiddle trough is connected to a push-pull rod of one hydraulic support andprovided with twosensors. One end of the flexible element rope is connected to a rope extend-retract control device,and the other end sequentially passes through lifting rings for connectionwith the sensors andis fixed to a positioning force bearing bolt on the outermost side. The middletroughs' positionsare adjusted according to the signal processing device's result, so thattensile and compressiveforce values in all groups are equal and zero, thus completing automaticstraightening of thescraper conveyor body.
