A pull-press force sensor-based automatic straightening apparatus and method for a scraper conveyor on a fully mechanized coal mining face. The automatic straightening apparatus comprises a fully mechanized coal mining working face; the fully mechanized coal mining working face comprises several middle troughs; each middle trough is connected to a pressing rod of a hydraulic support. The fully mechanized coal mining working face is equipped with the automatic straightening apparatus. The automatic straightening apparatus comprises a flexible element rope, pull-press force sensors, and a signal processing unit; each middle trough is equipped with two pull-press force sensors; one end of the flexible element rope is connected to a rope extension/contraction control means, and the other end thereof is connected to the pull-press force sensors in sequence by means of hoisting rings. The positions of the middle troughs are adjusted according to the result of the signal processing unit to make pull-press force values in all groups be equal to zero, so that automatic straightening of a scraper conveyor body is completed. The apparatus features high precision and high cost performance, can overcome the harsh environment in a coal mine, and has a long service life.
