FORWARD TILT ASSEMBLY FOR CHAIR SEAT

A forward tilt assembly configured to tilt forward a seat of a chair. Theforward tiltassembly includes a base, a seat plate, and a release mechanism. The seatplate is pivotallymounted to the base and includes two support brackets on the sides of the seatplate. Eachsupport bracket includes a keyhole slot. The release mechanism is operablebetween locked andunlocked positions and includes a slidable lock pin mounted between thesupport brackets. Therelease mechanism includes two keyed collars, one disposed at each end of thelock pin. Thecollars are received in respective keyhole slots of the support brackets. Whenthe releasemechanism is in the unlocked position, the collars are unobstructed frommoving within thekeyhole slots, and the seat plate can pivot relative to the base, therebytilting a rear of the chairseat.
