In order to improve the ethanol fermentation capability of a yeast havingxylose metabolizing capability,provided are mutated genes coding for mutated proteins having consensussequences obtained by replacing the 30-thamino acid of SEQ ID NO: 1, the 43-rd amino acid of SEQ ID NO: 4, and the 31-st amino acid of SEQ ID NO: 7 withother amino acids.
