Provided is a power carrier communication network monitoring system. The system comprises a network camera, a low voltage power source line and a network hard disk video recorder, wherein the network camera comprises a first power carrier circuit and a first network circuit which are connected to each other, and the first power carrier circuit is connected to one end of the low voltage power source line; and the network hard disk video recorder comprises a second power carrier circuit and a second network circuit which are connected to each other, the second power carrier circuit is connected to the other end of the low voltage power source line, and the second network circuit is connected to a power source. In the solution of the present application, the transmission of network data between a network hard disk video recorder and a network camera is realized by means of a low voltage power source line based on a power carrier method, thereby avoiding the use of network cables and reducing the cost of a network monitoring system.
