Device, installation and method for shaping a sheet metal blank and also a workpiece produced thereby Device for shaping a planar sheet metal blank (10) to form a three-dimensional formation with at least one base, a wall and a drawn border, comprising the following features or components: a first male die (1), with a base-forming surface, forming the base, and a wall-forming surface (2), forming the wall; a sheet holder (6), surrounding the male die (1) and having a supporting surface (3) for placing the drawn border; an inner female die (5) with a base-forming surface (4); an outer female die (7) with a wall-forming surface (2) and a clamping surface for gripping the drawn border and pressing it against the supporting surface (3) of the sheet holder (6), wherein the planar sheet metal blank (10) is heated at at least one local region (10a) to a temperature above 100°C before the shaping takes place. Also presented is a device for shaping a preformed three-dimensional formation into a workpiece with a base, a wall and a drawn border, comprising the following features or components: a first male die (1), with a base-forming surface, forming or further forming the base, and a wall-forming surface (2), forming or further forming the wall; a sheet holder (6), surrounding the male die (1) and having a supporting surface for placing the drawn border; an inner female die (5) with a base-forming surface (4); an outer female die (7) with a wall-forming surface (2) and a clamping surface for gripping the drawn border and pressing it against the supporting surface (3) of the sheet holder (6), wherein the inner female die (5) and/or the first male die (1) have at least one second male die, to which a dedicated drive is assigned, and the three-dimensional formation (10) is heated in at least a local region (1a) to a temperature above 100°C before the further shaping takes place. A method for shaping a planar sheet metal blank (10) or a preformed three-dimensional formation is likewise described.
