This method of manufacturing a handpiece of an operation system, which is provided with a heater, a first detection circuit for measuring a voltage and current supplied to the heater, and a memory, includes: acquiring detection characteristics of the first detection circuit on the basis of a result measured by using a second detection circuit, the degree of detection accuracy of which is higher than that of the first detection circuit; recording the detection characteristics in the memory; acquiring a temperature change of the heater when an inspection control is performed which supplies the power to the heater so as to control the temperature of the heater in a prescribed way; determining a control parameter for controlling the temperature of the heater on the basis of the temperature change; and recording the control parameter in the memory.
