The present invention relates to a sulfide-based solid electrolyte material and a preparation method therefor, the preparation method comprising the steps of: preparing an amorphous solid electrolyte by mixing lithium sulfide (Li2S), a sulfur compound and a lithium compound, which are materials for an LPSX-based solid electrolyte, through wet mechanical milling for 5-40 hours; and preparing a glass-ceramic solid electrolyte material, having a high lithium ion conductivity, by heat treating the amorphous solid electrolyte at 140-200°C. By controlling, through the technique, preparation conditions such as the composition of materials, mechanical mixing and heat treatment temperature, a crystalline phase and a glass-ceramic phase suitably coexist, thereby enabling a glass-ceramic solid electrolyte material having an ion conductivity higher than that of an amorphous state or a highly crystalline state to be obtained.
