A vortex-induced vibration energy extraction apparatus is disclosed. According to the present invention, the vortex-induced vibration energy extraction apparatus extracts, as electrical energy, mechanical energy generated when a vibrator generates vortex-induced vibrations, wherein the plurality of vibrators are respectively provided on both sides with respect to a support, the vibrator on one side thereof generates the vortex-induced vibrations by means of fluid flowing in one direction so as to generate the mechanical energy, and the vibrator on the opposite side generates the vortex-induced vibrations by means of the fluid flowing in the opposite direction so as to generate the mechanical energy. When the vibrator positioned at the upper side in the flow direction with respect to the flow direction of the fluid generates the vortex-induced vibrations by the flow of the fluid at the upper side thereof so as to generate the mechanical energy, wake galloping occurs due to a vortex generated at the back of the vibrator positioned at the upper side, such that the vibrator positioned at the lower side generates the mechanical energy. According to the present invention, the vortex-induced vibration energy extraction apparatus provided at sea can provide the effects of: enabling the energy to be extracted by generating the vortex-induced vibrations even by flood and ebb tides; enabling the energy extraction efficiency to be improved by wake galloping; and enabling the energy to be extracted in correspondence to a tidal current, or a sea current moving in various directions.
