An image acquisition unit acquires image data captured from a normal monitoring subject. An image processing unit carries out, on the image data, different image processes in accordance with changes in color tone within a range not exceeding the normal range of the monitoring subject, thereby generating a plurality of instances of duplicate image data. A learning unit treats the plurality of instances of duplicate image data as teaching data, and causes a model to be learned such that a value used in an assessment of the normalcy of the monitoring subject is outputted from the image data captured from the monitoring subject.
