A smart terminal-based merchant information sharing method and merchant information sharing system, the merchant information sharing method comprising the following steps: launching a camera of a first smart terminal, and photographing an image including name information of a merchant; performing identification on the image, and extracting the name information; launching a positioning device of the first smart terminal, and obtaining location information of the merchant; compositing the name information and the location information into a two-dimensional code, and forming a pattern including the two-dimensional code; sending the pattern including the two-dimensional code to at least one second smart terminal; the second smart terminal performing identification on the two-dimensional code in the pattern, and obtaining the name information and the location information of the merchant. Internet and smart terminal information is integrated with interpersonal communication functions, and sharing is performed by means of compositing the merchant information into the two-dimensional code.
