A method and an apparatus for pushing content of an application program to a smart device, characterized in that, the pushing method comprises: constructing a database which stores preset expression features and a correlation between at least one group of mood information and recommended content of an application program (101); capturing an image of a user, and acquiring the current expression feature within the image (102); comparing the current expression feature and the preset expression features, and determining current mood information concerning the user (103); acquiring, from the database, recommended content of the application program corresponding to the current mood information (104); and displaying the recommended content of the application program in the smart device (105). The present method and apparatus can automatically and accurately recommend music consistent with the current mood state of the user without the user having to search manually, ensuring a better user experience.
