A tank (1) in which a body (10) and a mirror plate (20) are joined by welding. The tank (1) is manufactured by performing, in order: an abutting step of forming, in an end portion (21) of the mirror plate (20), a recess (31) and a protrusion (32) protruding out of the body (10), and abutting the end portion (21) of the mirror plate (20) and an end portion (11) of the body (10) to each other; and a joining step of welding the abutted portions of the mirror plate (20) and the body (10). The mirror plate (20) and the body (10) are welded in a correct positional relationship while suppressing corrosion or stress concentration due to a gap in the tank (1).
