Disclosed is a method, a crowdsourcing platform and a system for building a three-dimensional image model of an object. The method comprises: acquiring a model building task published by an initiating end, wherein the model building task comprises relevant information about a target object, and the model building task is used to request to build a 3D model of the target object; analyzing, according to the relevant information, photographs to be taken which are required for building the 3D model of the target object and photographing coordinate information of the photographs to be taken; generating at least one sub-task according to the photographs to be taken and the photographing coordinate information, wherein the at least one sub-task comprises a task requesting to photograph the target object; assigning the at least one sub-task to at least one destination end; and receiving photographs uploaded by the at least one destination end which are used to respond to the at least one sub-task, wherein the photographs are used to build the 3D model of the object.
