The present invention relates to an agonist of spexin-based galanin type 2 receptor and a use thereof. More specifically, the present invention provides a peptide-based agonist having improved specificity and stability to the galanin type 2 receptor, wherein the peptide-based agonist is involved in the regulation of physical functions in the body, such as feeding, anxiety, emotion, and addiction, in which the galanin type 2 receptor plays a role, thereby suppressing appetite, relieving anxiety disorders, and reducing the addiction to pleasure, and thus, the peptide-based agonist can be used to prevent or treat diseases induced by galanin type 2 receptor .
