A method and device for monitoring for a malfunction of a wind turbine. The method comprises the following steps: identifying a malfunction of a component in a wind turbine (101); and displaying the identified malfunction by adopting a three-dimensional model of the component (102). The device comprises corresponding identification module (61) and display module (62). By employing the method and device, a malfunction supervision operator can directly observe a malfunction occurring at a component, facilitating to take an action on the malfunction before a minor malfunction turns into a major malfunction, thereby lessening malfunction damages, and reducing experience requirement for a malfunction supervision operator, thereby preventing the procedure of identifying whether a component is malfunctioning by a malfunction supervision operator analyzing a two-dimensional curve on the basis of the operator experience.
