The present disclosure relates to a method and device for transmitting or receiving a demodulation reference signal for an NR system. A method for receiving a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) by a terminal in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may comprise the steps of: receiving, from a base station, information indicating a specific combination from among candidates relating to the number of a plurality of DMRS configurations within a single slot or whether to use each of the plurality of DMRS configurations, and overhead candidates commonly applied or individually applied to the plurality of DMRS configurations; receiving the DMRS on a physical resource indicated by the specific combination; and estimating a downlink channel by using the received DMRS.
