Provided are a machine room device fault early-warning method and apparatus based on the Internet of Things, and a storage medium. The method comprises: acquiring device usage data of a plurality of reference devices of different types; labeling the device usage data of the plurality of reference devices by using a plurality of known type labels; performing classification training on the device usage data, labeled with the type labels, to obtain a classification model; acquiring device usage data of a device of a certain type, and according to the classification model, predicting the category of the device usage data of the current type; and sending fault prompt information corresponding to the category to the device of the current type.
