A toxic and harmful gas detection and recognition method based on machine olfaction. First of all, toxic and harmful gas information is collected by means of a machine olfactory system; secondly, the toxic and harmful gas is analyzed and processed by means of a linear discriminant method based on feature selection; and finally, various kinds of toxic and harmful gases are recognized in combination with a Markov two-dimensional distance discriminant method. According to the algorithm, feature information about sample data is firstly extracted; the fast processing and classification functions of a linear recognition algorithm are realized; and good application is realized in the field of machine olfaction. In particular, the toxic and harmful gas can be detected and recognized in real time on the basis of machine olfaction. The algorithm has the advantages of low complexity, high recognition efficiency, etc.
