This method for predicting a breakdown area of a resin molded body comprises: a first region preparation step S1 in which a resin flow-analysis model, at the time when a resin molded body is obtained from the resin, is prepared, and the model is elementally divided into a plurality of first regions; a first region temperature load calculation step S2 in which a temperature load is calculated for each elementally-divided first region on the basis of the pressure and the temperature of the resin; a second region preparation step S3 in which a structural analysis model of the resin molded body is prepared, and the model is elementally divided into a plurality of second regions; a second region stress calculation step S4 in which a first region corresponding to the position of each elementally-divided second region is selected, a temperature load of the selected first region is set as a temperature load of the respective second region, and a stress state is calculated from the temperature load; and a breakdown occurrence prediction step S5 in which an area at which a breakdown occurrence indicator, which is found from the stress state, exceeds a permitted value is specified as a breakdown occurrence area.
