The method further comprises addition of a serum-free nutrient solution comprising amino acids, vitamins, salts nucleosides, insulin, transferrin, ethanolamine and sodium selenium. The invention also provides for culture media and serum-free nutrient solutions for growing anchorage-dependent cells.
