The invention relates to a lifting apparatus for a building cylinder (24) in a machine (11) for producing a three-dimensional component (12) by selective consolidation of a build-up material applied in layers by means of a beam (16) acting on the build-up material. At least one further guide body (36) is associated with the first guide body (34), both bodies being movable on at least one guide (38), the at least one further guide body (36) has a bracket (42) on which the main drive (44) is provided, and the first and at least one further guide body (34, 36) having at least one driving apparatus (51) can move successively along the at least one guide (38).
