The method provides inserting such goods into watertight shells consisting of materials which do not have chemical, electrical and mechanical interactions with the same goods, and the successive replacement of the atmosphere inside the same shells with a storage gas, preferably but not exclusively an inert gas such as Argon, thus taking advantage of the difference in density thereof with the air, at controlled temperature, using specific equipment that is easy to move and/or transport, provided with a support surface (bearing plane or rack for vertically fastening the good to be bagged) having an adjustable inclination to promote the replacement of the atmosphere with the storage gas. The advantages offered by the procedure and by the watertight shelling apparatus object of the invention are associated with the possibility of moving the operating equipment with great simplicity.
