The present invention relates to a method for producing a shoe with a three-dimensional (3D) upper (1) produced by a thermo-forming method and a shoe in which the upper or individual upper components (2) are either completely or partially produced from a thermo-formable material into a 3D shape and the upper components of the finished 3D upper are connected together in the front region of the upper or in the heel region. It is possible to produce a completely finished formed 3D upper from a single upper component or in embodiments from up to three upper components, which upper has already been placed in the anatomical shoe mould.
