The present invention provides an electromagnetic wave detection module wherein, between each of a plurality of detection elements that are for detecting electromagnetic waves and that are arranged in a two-dimensional array to constitute an electromagnetic wave detection means and a prescribed connection destination situated outside the electromagnetic wave detection means, wiring is formed in such a manner as to facilitate manufacturability and pose the least problems for detection of electromagnetic waves. The present invention is provided with, on a single substrate surface: an electromagnetic detection means which is formed by arranging a detection element group comprising M-number of detection elements (M is an integer of two or more) arranged in a Y-axis direction, in an array of N-number of rows (N is an integer of two or more) in an X-axis direction that is orthogonal to the Y-axis direction; and M×N number of wires that electrically connect the respective M×N detection elements with prescribed connection destinations situated outside one end of the electromagnetic wave detection means in the Y-axis direction.
