ENVIRONMENTAL INDEX UNIT AND LIVESTOCK HOUSE SYSTEM

[Problem] To provide an environmental index unit which can automatically adjust the temperature within a livestock house, the humidity within the livestock house, the wind speed of air blowing on livestock, the CO₂ concentration within the livestock house, and the NH₃ concentration within the livestock house, and thereby ensure that the livestock do not feel discomfort. [Solution] An environmental index unit 100 is provided with: an environmental index sensor 80 which is equipped with at least one sensor from among a temperature sensor 81, a humidity sensor 82, a wind speed sensor 83, a CO₂ concentration sensor 84, and an NH₃ concentration sensor 85; and a control unit 90 which controls the temperature, humidity, and wind speed within a livestock house such that the temperature-humidity index approaches a desired value, and controls the ventilation within the livestock house such that the CO₂ concentration and the NH₃ concentration are at or below a threshold value.
