A myocardial cell detection method based on hydrogel of an inverse opal structure, and applications thereof. The method comprises the following steps: (1) preparing hydrogel of an inverse opal structure, having biocompatibility; (2) culturing myocardial cells, based on the hydrogel of an inverse opal structure; (3) detecting the myocardial cells; and (4) analyzing data. The hydrogel of an inverse opal structure has good biocompatibility, cells have high activity and phenotype when growing on the surface of the hydrogel, the hydrogel of an inverse opal structure provides a carrier for the growth of the myocardial cells, and more importantly, provides stable optical sensing signals for detecting the shrinking force and the beat frequency of the myocardial cells. The detection method does not need a complicated detection system, and has the advantages of intuitiveness, high sensitivity and high efficiency and is not affected by external conditions; the method can be used for screening and evaluating heart drugs and can screen the drugs by means of the variation of the shrinking force and the beat frequency of the myocardial cells after the drugs are added.
