This dynamic access control device for controlling the access of an individual by 2D or 3D recognition of an individual's face from the prior or previous 3D acquisition of same, comprises: - an area (1) for channelling the progression of said individual and acquiring a 2D or 3D image of the latter's face, capable of being shut off by means of two retractable doors (4, 5) that are separated from each other by a determined distance, and which cannot open simultaneously; - at least two 2D or 3D acquisition means for acquiring the individual's face as he or she progresses within said area (1), oriented at two different angles with respect to the main direction of said area; - means for illuminating the individual in said channelling and acquisition area (1); - means for accessing a file containing a previously acquired 3D image of the individual's face; - a unit for processing the signals transmitted by the reading means and by the acquisition means and for managing the device.
