A method and device used for predicting the effect of marketing activity, comprising: obtaining historical marketing data of different stores to serve as an input sample, and computing marketing activity effect data of the marketing activity from start to finish for the different stores (S101); selecting marketing activity effect data for a target store, and obtaining an initial pre-estimated value of the effect of the marketing activity of the target store by means of data smoothing (S102); and on the basis of the marketing activity effect data for the different stores, constructing a discount rate adjusting factor by means of linear fitting, calibrating the initial pre-estimated value of the effect of the marketing activity by using the discount rate adjusting factor, and using an obtained calibration value as a pre-estimated value of the effect of the marketing activity of the target store (S103). The present invention thus solves the problem of existing solutions for pre-estimation of the effect of marketing activity being unable to accurately pre-estimate the effect of marketing activity in real time according to the change in discount rate.
