The present invention discloses a method for realizing zero-voltage on and zero-current off switching, and is characterized in that, a switch is controlled to be closed when an AC grid voltage is zero, completing switching on operations, and the switch is controlled to be disconnected when a load current is zero, completing switching off operations. By effectively connecting a switch when an AC input voltage crosses zero, and precisely disconnecting the switch when a load current crosses zero, zero surge current during turning on of an electrical load is achieved, and an electrical circuit is disconnected in a zero-load state, providing universality for all relays and compatibility for all types of load properties, thereby significantly prolonging service lives of relays, reducing costs and at the same time lowering current impact when turning on an electrical load, such that a power grid and other electrical equipment do not suffer interference or conflict.
