摘要

The present invention relates to an easy and practical method for determining the positivity threshold for quantifying the expression of the overexpressed HER2 gene in the case of breast and stomach cancers as well as other types of cancers. The transcripts of the HER2 gene and the reference genes are specifically detected and quantified using real-time reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) in a multiplex or simplex format. A sample shall be considered to be positive if its HER2 gene expression rate is greater than the positivity threshold calculated using the present method.
