[Problem] To provide an IABP balloon catheter that can be safely connected even when there is a drive history, and an IABP drive device that drives the IABP balloon catheter. [Solution] An IABP balloon catheter driven by an IABP drive device, the IABP balloon catheter comprising: a balloon part that expands and contracts; a catheter tube that is connected to a back end of the balloon part and has formed therein a fluid pressure conduction passage for introducing and discharging a pressurized fluid in the balloon part; a handle part that is connected to a back end of the catheter tube and has formed therein a connection passage having a pressurized fluid inlet/outlet in communication with the inside of the fluid pressure conduction passage; a storage unit that stores alarm history information pertaining to alarms generated while the IABP balloon catheter is driven by one IABP drive device; and an interface unit for the IABP drive device to make inputs to and outputs from the storage unit.
