Provided are: a latent heat storage material having a melting point in a specified temperature range; a latent heat storage material using the latent heat storage material; a cold storage tool using the latent heat storage material; a logistic packaging container, a refrigeration tool for human bodies and a cold storage tool for beverages, each of which uses the cold storage tool; and a method for transporting an object which is intended to be kept cool, wherein the logistic packaging container is used. A latent heat storage material containing a compound (A) represented by formula (A), an inorganic salt (B) composed of a cation of an alkali metal represented by formula (B) and an anion of an element that is the same as an element for an anion of the quaternary alkyl salt, and water, the latent heat storage material being characterized in that the compound (A) is a substance capable of forming a clathrate hydrate in conjunction with the water, the compositional ratio of the compound (A) to water is such that the clathrate hydrate can have a congruent melting point, and the molar ratio of the inorganic salt (B) to the compound (A) is 0.1 to 10 inclusive.
