Disclosed are a method and device for detecting human brain preference based on brain waves. The method for detecting human brain preference based on brain waves comprises: when the brain of a user is in a relaxed state, acquiring, by using a brain wave chip, brain wave raw data generated when the user observes an object or an environment thereof, and the signal value of the signal strength of the the brain wave raw data; determining whether the state of the acquired signal value is abrupt, and when all the collected signal values are in a pre-set state within a collection period, temporarily storing the brain wave raw data collected each time; processing a plurality of pieces of brain wave raw data temporarily stored within the collection period to obtain brain wave baseline data; and according to the brain wave baseline data and the brain wave raw data collected at the next moment, calculating the preference of the brain for an object or an environment. According to the technical solution of the present application, multiple preference values are output to intuitively present the preference of a brain for an object, so that the entertainment can be improved and the user experience can be enhanced.
