This method for generating droplet particles, comprises: discharging, into a gas or a vacuum, a solution mixture obtained by dispersing, in a volatile liquid, a compound which forms a non-volatile membrane at a gas-liquid interface by self-aggregation, so as to atomize the solution mixture to produce droplet particles; and causing, in the gas or vacuum, the compound to be aligned on the surface of the droplet particles which size is reduced through volatilization of the liquid, to form a non-volatile membrane at the gas-liquid interface, so that the droplet particles are stabilized. By this method, novel droplet particles are generated which stably exist in a gas or vacuum without being disintegrated or without the liquid inside the droplet particles being volatilized.
