The present invention relates to a method for generating a Chinese character address/idiom and a key input device therefor, which classify Chinese characters into groups of less than 10 according to the similarity in the shape of a first stroke in the stroke order of the Chinese characters and then easily generate an address/idiom consisting of a plurality of Chinese characters including a representative stroke representing each group as the first stroke by successive inputs of the representative stroke.
