A disposable aerosol generating article (200) and an aerosol generating system (10). The disposable aerosol generating article comprises a mouthpiece assembly (210), a storage container assembly (230, 330) and an atomizing assembly (240). The atomizing assembly (240) comprises a liquid guiding element (242), an electrical heating wire (244) and an atomizing cup (246). The liquid guiding element (242) is a strip-like component disposed in a length direction of the disposable aerosol generating article (200), wherein an upper end of the liquid guiding element (242) contacts a surface of the storage container assembly (230, 330) to absorb a liquid aerosol forming substrate (232a), a lower end thereof is inserted into the atomizing cup (246), and the heating wire (244) is wrapped around the liquid guiding element (242) inserted into the atomizing cup (246). The storage container assembly (230, 330), the atomizing assembly (240) and an electrical connection assembly (250) are accommodated in a housing (260), and the mouthpiece assembly (210, 310, 410) is attached to the housing (260) by means of insertion. The aerosol generating system (10) uses the disposable aerosol generating article (200), thereby significantly improving user experience.
