The present invention relates to a method for diagnosis of stroke through the analysis of bacterial metagenome and, more particularly, to a method for diagnosis of stroke by performing bacterial metagenome analysis on a sample derived from a subject so as to analyze the fluctuations in the amount of extracellular vesicles derived from specific bacteria. The extracellular vesicles secreted from bacteria present in the environment are absorbed into the body and may directly influence inflammatory responses. Stroke is difficult to diagnose at the early stage thereof before symptom occurrence and thus to effectively treat. Through the metagenome analysis of bacteria-derived extracellular vesicles by using a human-derived sample according to the present invention, the risk of onset of stroke can be predicted in advance such that early diagnosis and prediction can be made for risk groups of stroke, thereby delaying or preventing the onset of the disease through appropriate management. Even after the onset of the disease, early diagnosis can be made, thereby lowering the incidence of stroke and increasing therapeutic effects.
