Customers buy toothpaste, sugar or orange juice again and again. Shopping for these products is not an experience but an annoying chore. The invention is intended to make this chore easier by means of artificial intelligence. The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for generating a list of suggestions for a user for product identifications stored in a product database. The special feature lies in that the list of suggestions is generated for a certain point in time and therefore relates not only to the user but also to the moment in question. The method determines whether a product is put on this list of suggestions by analysing points in time and time intervals of past purchases by said user of said product and of any products associated with said product, and possibly corresponding points in time and time intervals of other shoppers. The invention also relates to a system for generating an order list and for filling a shopping basket, said system using a device which is designed to carry out the method.
