SYSTEM OF MEANS FOR INDEXING THE BOOKS OF THE BIBLE

A system of means for indexing the books of the Bible comprises: a textual index of content in the form of a sheet marked with specific sequences of words and numerals; and a specific number of data carriers in the form of index tabs. The textual index of content is configured in the form of a stick-on sheet having a layer of a self-adhesive material applied to the underside thereof, and is placed on the front or back flyleaf of a Bible. The textual index of content comprises a first sequence in the form of a list of the titles of the books of the Old Testament, said titles being arranged according to the order of appearance of the books in the Bible, a second sequence in the form of a list of the titles of the books of the New Testament, said titles being arranged according to the order of appearance of the books in the Bible and being a different shade and(or) colour than the list of books of the Old Testament, and a third sequence situated between the two first sequences and being comprised of numbers in the form of whole numbers arranged in numerical order from one up to a set maximum number. The same number corresponds to both a book of the Old Testament and a book of the New Testament. The index tabs comprise two analogous symmetrical parts comprised of a protruding portion connected to a fastening element, and the front surface of the protruding portion of each of the symmetrical parts is marked with an appropriate number from 1 to 39 to indicate a book of the Old Testament and from 1 to 27 to indicate a book of the New Testament. The list of titles of the books of the New Testament and the index tabs for indicating the books of the New Testament are light blue. A two-sided bookmark is provided in the form of a sheet of a stiff material, the front and rear sides of which are marked with the textual index of content of the Bible.
