METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING OBJECTS IN THE ENVIRONMENT OF A VEHICLE, IN THE PRESENCE OF DROPLETS

A method for detecting objects in an environment surrounding at least part of a vehicle (V) comprising ultrasound acquisition means (MAQ1) periodically acquiring data in this environment. This method comprises a step of analysing the environment data acquired over each period in order to detect an indication of presence of an object, and considering that an object is effectively present if this indication of presence is detected in N successive periods, where N ≥ 2, and determining, from analyses performed over M successive periods, where M ≥ 2, a value of a first parameter representative of the presence of droplets in the environment, and, when this determined value of the first parameter is greater than a threshold, adjusting the current value of N depending on this determined value of the first parameter.
