The invention concerns an applicator head (2) of an apparatus for treating soils with microwaves, comprising a rigid portion (5), made of a material impermeable to microwaves, forming the bottom of a receiving volume, open on one face, at least one conduit for guiding microwaves over an area to be treated, said rigid portion (5) being held at a defined distance (H) from the area to be treated (4) and the side walls of said receiving volume being made of a material impermeable to microwaves. The walls of the receiving volume are formed by elongate members (6) in the form of flexible independent tabs and a free end of which (9) is suitable for being in contact with the part of the soil (4) to be treated, the other end (7) being mounted with at least one degree of freedom (F) on the edge (8) of the rigid portion (5) of the applicator head (2). The invention also relates to an apparatus equipped with such a head.
