A perpendicular hydroelectric power generation apparatus is disclosed. The disclosed perpendicular hydroelectric power generation apparatus comprises: a turbine rotary shaft provided to be connected to a supporting frame fixedly provided on the ground, and formed in a perpendicular direction; a plurality of arm members radially formed around the turbine rotary shaft; a plurality of blades rotatably provided at each terminal end portion of the plurality of arm members, submerged in the running water so as to receive resistance power by means of a water current, thereby rotating the turbine rotary shaft, and formed so as to rotate at a rotational ratio of 2:1 with respect to the rotation of the turbine rotary shaft; and a power generator formed to be connected to the turbine rotary shaft, and driven according to the rotation of the turbine rotary shaft so as to produce electricity, wherein the plurality of blades form different angles with respect to the progressing direction of the water current, and when one of the plurality of blades is disposed at a right angle with respect to the progressing direction of the water current, the remaining blades are arranged in a direction tilted with respect to or corresponding to the progressing direction of the water current.
